With the wood cream from König Holz und Harz, water-repellent and waterproof surfaces can be achieved. It is therefore ideal for drinking vessels, cutting boards and other items that come into contact with liquids and foodstuff in the home. The wood protection with natural ingredients protects against dirt and penetrating moisture. The wood cream gives turned mugs, goblets, bowls, but also wooden furniture and wooden toys a satin, natural shine without discolouring the wood.
With the wood cream from König Holz und Harz, which is composed of linseed oil, beeswax and tree resin, you can treat your workpieces with natural, traditional raw materials. When applied, the oil is drawn deep into the pores of the wood and solidifies as it hardens. The beeswax and the tree resin form a hard, elastic, dirt and water-repellent layer on the wood surface. The impregnated wooden surface is well protected from liquids and moisture. As there are no chemical additives or solvents, the surface is food-safe. That is why the wood cream is ideal for children's toys and wooden workpieces such as drinking cups, goblets, bowls, ladles or spoons.
If a processed surface is soiled by, for example, leftover food, it can simply be wiped off again by water, so the wood cream is also ideal for worktops and dining tables.

Application examples for König Holz und Harz wood cream
Application of wood cream / Texture from the wood
Application on the lathe
When your workpiece has been prepared accordingly, apply a thin layer of wood cream using a lint-free cloth at room temperature and with the machine stopped. Let the workpiece stand for 24 hours and wipe off the excess if necessary. Repeat the process a second and third time. If no film remains after the third application, the wood is still absorbent, and a fourth layer should be applied.
The wood can be polished up before the third application.
After 3-4 days after the last layer your object is hardened and waterproof. Please note that the cream is not suitable for standing water vessels and cooking hot water. In flower vases, for example, the wood cream will eventually be removed.
Apply wood cream by hand to tables, countertops, cutting boards or the like
Prepare your workpiece as described above. The wood cream is best applied to larger areas with a spatula. Spread the cream on the table and let the excess stand. Repeat the process after 24 hours. You can also repeat the process a third or fourth time for an even better layer.
