The midi 2 Plus is the improved version of the midi 2. It has all the highlights of the midi 2 such as:
  • 1 HP motor
  • Completely made from grey cast iron, for vibration absorption
  • Continuous speed control
  • 100 mm tailstock quill stroke
  • Extra strong  trapezoidal tailstock thread
But what's new on the machine?
  • New, heavier, extra wide bench bed based on the Midi Pro lathe
  • The bench bed is now compatible with the fillable base of the Midi Pro
  • This gives the machine very smooth running, even with unbalanced wood
  • 250 mm tool rest instead of 150 mm
  • Large 95 mm steel faceplate
  • Main switch
  • Fast and slow run-out brake
  • Delivery charge is £45

    Its definitely a quality item

    Having had a couple of fair lathes from well known companies in the UK, possibly manufactured in China, no problems with these, decided for an up grade, decided on the Midi 2 Plus, “Wow” the difference is amazing, the extra wide base makes the lathe so much more stable + the extra weight makes it vibration free, the 3 bearing headstock makes it smooth & so quiet, pleasure to use , German engineering ??. Highly recommended, also great service from Simon Hope( Hope Woodturning) Overall well worth the money.
