Quick-release handles, deluxe starter set.

Set consists of:

1 x Small quick-release handle with gold head and 3/8 double spindle gouge.

1 x medium quick release handle with blue head and 3/8 (13mm dia) double-ended bowl gouge and (13mm) parting/round skew.  

1 x large quick release handle with redhead and converted 3/4" roughing gouge.

1 x 8mm carbide. Excellent for boxes and end grain work. Square bar tool that is easy to use as the cutting angle is set for you.  Self handled.

1 x medium shear scraper. Excellent for the inside and outside of bowls to fine-tune the shape. Also good for the inside of boxes and goblets.  Easy to use as the cutting angle is set for you. Fits into 13mm blue handle.

Normal RRP, if purchased separately, would be £408.50

The blades are my normal Crown Cryo tools. The medium shear and 8mm carbide are HOPE tools. These are professional tools that will last and this set will do more than just get you going!

    Deluxe quick release set

    I’ve been looking at this set for a while and I’m glad I’ve gone for it. The handles are great and so easy to swap the cutting tool over or to take it out for sharpening. I like the fact I’ve got more leverage than my original tool set which was a basic set (but still good) and the fact that the handles are thicker and padded means they feel good in the hand. All I’ve got to do is improve my technique to do this set justice!! Quick note about the small tungsten 8mm cutter, it’s very efficient but needs handling carefully…get it right and it hollows very well. I’m used to using tungsten cutter/scrapers but this is super efficient!!
