The safety ring prevents clamped workpieces from detaching from the spindle and falling off during operation, for example when turning in reverse or due to unexpected heavy braking.
The ring fits all lathes with M33 spindle thread and matching ASR groove. The prerequisite is that chucks, face plates or other accessories also have a safety groove.
